The Junior Kindergarten program focuses on the continued development of the whole child in a faith-based environment. Activities include prayer, play, music, math, motor, stories, art, map, calendar and more. The curriculum provides ample opportunities for large and fine motor development. As in all of our programs, faith is taught across the curriculum. Formal Spanish and music instruction occurs weekly with visits from our “specials” teachers.
Junior Kindergarten is open to all children who will turn 4 by September 1st. A flexible schedule allows parents to customize both the number of days per week and the number of hours per day that is right for each child. Parents may choose TWThF or M-F from 8:15am to 11:00am, or M-F from 12:15pm to 2:50pm. Lunch bunch and afternoon enrichment offerings are available on an a la carte basis. Families may also combine morning, lunch bunch and afternoon packages to build a full day their child, from 8:15am through 2:50pm.
Students enjoy lunch with their classmates after morning preschool programs. Children who attend other area preschools may also join the lunch bunch group following their morning dismissal. This program is offered on an a la carte basis, up to five afternoons per week from 11:00am-12:15 p.m. Students are welcome to leave after lunch, or may continue onto enrichment through 2:50p.m.
Our afternoon enrichment program focuses on art, crafts, science, music, and creative dramatics. Children further develop creativity, fine and gross motor skills, and language skills…all while making new friends! This program is offered on an a la carte basis, up to five afternoons per week from 12:15-2:50p.m.
