It was wonderful to see everyone return from spring break! Thank you for the extra effort it took to have your children return safely back to school.
Science: The animal reports are complete and the students are excited to bring their dioramas to school on Monday, April 19. The reports will be presented in class during the week.
Math: The students began learning about nonstandard measurement. They learned how nonstandard measurement is different from standard measurement and how to measure accurately. They have enjoyed hands on actives measuring different objects with measuring items found in their math kit.
Literacy: The students have been working in small reading groups and completing word work. Each student received a chapter book to read in addition to their library books. One reading group put on a Reader’s Theater play for the class!
Religion: Alleluia! The students unburied the Alleluia’s that they drew. It was a joyous time to say, “Alleluia!”
The students were excited to see the Prayer of St. Francis in the Religion book. They met in small groups and discussed a part of the prayer and then shared their thoughts with the class.
