The objectives this week all led up to our Friday Mass and May Crowning. They were to learn that Mary is Our Mother and Queen. Mary helps us be good Christians. The Church honors Mary and we honor Mary by trying to be like her by asking her to pray for us, and by singing to her. We learned about the Rosary and our class prayed the Holy Rosary led by a class Mom.
The objectives this week were to make, revise, and confirm predictions. Students identified characters, setting , and plot and recognized capitalization in sentences. Words Their Way Word Work , sight word, and handwriting practice continued. Opportunities for independent reading occurs daily.
Our objectives this week were to compare time, and to learn to tell time to the hour using analog and digital clocks. Children made their own paper clock to practice telling time on an analog clock.
Students completed their inter-active water notebook.Using a variety of substances, students predicted and then experimented and recorded whether the substances dissolved in water or stayed the same. Students also experimented with blowing bubbles outside.
