On Ash Wednesday we got ashes on our foreheads to remind us that someday we will die. Lent is a good time for us to think about how we behave and what we choose. We made crosses, which remind us of Jesus’ death on the cross, and wrote our Lenten promises on the cross.
We continue working on story elements, The title, author, setting, characters, problem and solution were studied using Jan Brett’s THE MITTEN and THE HAT. We are also practicing writing opinion pieces. Words Their Way Word Work, sight word, and handwriting practice continue.
The objectives this week were to predict and determine the probability of an event and to use data from a picture to solve problems. Both Chapter and Unit test were taken and all the students performed well.
Our penguin pocket book were completed, checked and sent home!!
