On Tuesday your student will bring home a permission slip for our next Poetry Pals adventure. On Wednesday, February 13th, we will be traveling to The Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park. We will leave SFX by 8:30 and return around 1:45. On this day we are asking for students to bring a lunch from home to enjoy at ISF. When packing this lunch please make sure that it is both nut and pork free. For this session Poetry Pals has asked us to dress comfortably. We are asking all SFX students to wear their blue ribbon shirts with comfortable bottoms. This trip allows us to take as many chaperones as we’d like. If you would like to attend with us, please just indicate that on the bottom of the permission slip.
If you are a planner, I know you may be looking ahead to Valentine’s Day. This year we will be having a small, teacher led, celebration within our classrooms. Students will have the opportunity to exchange Valentine’s within their homerooms. Or, if your child would like to bring in Valentine’s for both homerooms, they are welcome to do so. We do ask that your child either bring in Valentine’s for the entire class, everyone in both classes, or no one. We will send home a paper copy of the class lists next week. Thank you for understanding.
Newspapers, Magazines & Coupons
We are starting a new unit of economics and we are in need of magazines, newspapers, and coupon booklets for an activity. If you have any of these laying around and would like to donate them, please send them in as soon as possible. We will be using these next week. After cutting these items up, we will recycle them, so they will not be returned. Thank you in advance for all your help.
