It feels so good to be back on the SFX campus!
If your family has not yet signed up for SeeSaw, please do so as soon as possible. When we go remote (the two weeks after Christmas Break), this will be the main source of communication. This will also allow you to see some fun videos we post in the classroom and work your child is submitting.
Winner, Winner….Dinners for Others!
Our class won the food drive!! We were only on campus for two days of food collecting, but in those two days our families brought in over 600 canned goods! Way to go Cummings Crew! We won a free dress day down day. I’ll let you know when we will use it.
Thank you to everyone that participated in PJ Day. We loved being comfy and cozy in the classroom. We even had a few twins and triplets appear!
In social studies we are continuing to learn about economics. This week we used children books to learn about natural, human, and capital resources. After Thanksgiving we will learn about entrepreneurship! I can’t wait to see what these kids come up with!
We will continue our study of multiplication and division. Students should now know and understand the meaning of multiplication and when to use multiplication versus addition or subtraction to solve a real world problem. In class we have reviewed 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 10 facts. Please start adding these multiplication facts to your stack of flash cards while practicing at home. Your child can also log onto Xtra Math, IXL or Freckle for some extra practice.
I hope everyone has a relaxing and love filled Thanksgiving with lots of time with family!
