Hymn for The Weekend
Hello Third Grade! It was great seeing so many of you at our Book Club yesterday afternoon. Thank you to those of you who were able to stay on our call despite the poor connection. Today’s call will be coming from my home office instead of my classroom therefore we should be able to both see AND hear each other. I hope this weekend everyone has the opportunity to tune-out the noise and tune-into their family and friends. Students, please put down the electronics for the weekend and enjoy getting wet. getting dirty, getting rest and getting anything else you may need to recharge your batteries for next week. HAVE A TERRIFIC WEEKEND. I hope to run into you walking around the block!

“Well now….Isn’t that special?”

One option for practice is to use the weekly Spelling List which will count as one of your Spelling Stars for the week! YOU CAN ALSO...copy down your favorite recipe and draw a picture to match, then send it to a friend (look for any spelling words from this week’s spelling list)!
Social Studies: Today you will continue in the Wilmette History Google Slides document on slides 13, 14, and 15 (Wilmette becomes a village). Today’s assignment: Do you think the voters in 1894 made the right choice? Choose YES, Wilmette should have stayed separate from Evanston, or NO, Wilmette should have joined Evanston. In a paragraph, defend your choice with three reasons. You may use reasons based on what we have learned so far in this unit or reasons based on your own experiences in 2020.
Science: FOOD JOURNAL DAY #2 Keep track of everything you eat and drink again today. Remember to write the time of day and your food and drinks you had. Even WATER counts so make sure to keep track of what you drink! When you’re finished writing your breakfast foods get ready to join our friends Annie and Moby! Today they stroll through the lunch line looking at different types of food options they can have for lunch. Moby sure could use some advice on how to make healthy food choices! Luckily his friend Annie is by his side to help him make good choices! Click on the link to watch what he learns about fueling up! Food for thought: What is the most important meal of the day? Why?
