Academics
Saint Francis Xavier School offers a contemporary curriculum that develops the whole child, preparing students for success in high school and beyond. Curriculum is aligned with Illinois State Teaching Standards, Chicago Archdiocesan Standards, and 21st Century Learning Skills so that learning benchmarks are met at every level. Technology is woven into every aspect of curriculum with the application of SMART Boards, laptops, iPads, and other tools so that students apply techniques universally, and across all subject areas.
SFX is proud to offer a rich and comprehensive academic experience that spans preschool through eighth grade. Our youngest learners are housed in the Early Childhood Program, which offers a wide range of programming for children ages 18 months through Kindergarten. First through fifth graders grow and learn together in the Elementary School, and sixth through eighth graders are taught with an early adolescent orientation in the Middle School. Please visit our All School page to learn more about essential curricula shared by all Kindergarten through eighth grade students including Technology, Music, Art, Library, Physical Education, the resources of our Leaning Support Team, and our Crusader Communities.
SFX is proud to be recognized as a US Blue Ribbon School! Learn more about the US Department of Education's Blue Ribbon Award here. Read our school's application for the 2012 Blue Ribbon Award here. View our most recent installment of The Scholastic Zone. ![]() |
