Principal Colleen Barrett was recognized in June on the University of Notre Dame campus as part of the second cohort of Catholic School Principals to “graduate” from ACE’s prestigious CTEL program. The Center for Transformational Educational Leadership admits fellows through a rigorous application process. Catholic school leaders accepted into the program participate in an intensive institute on the South Bend campus over successive summers where they engage in professional development built around best practices from the highest performing schools in the country.
As part of CTEL, Miss Barrett participated in one-to-one executive coaching during the school year focused on her leadership goals, and made on-site visits around implementation of best practices found in the highest quality schools in the country. SFX is incredibly proud of Colleen Barrett and grateful for the many ways she prioritizes rigorous, joyful learning that makes St. Francis the place we know and love.
