SUMMER MATH TIPS + RESOURCES
We love math and we want your scholars to love math, too! In order to keep abreast of our ever-changing math world and keep skills fresh, we are pleased to share some recommended summer practice resources for those families seeking math resources.
Summer Math Skills Sharpeners provide an excellent resource for families seeking to support retention and development of math skills through the summer. Families may reach out to their child’s teacher if they request assistance selecting the correct workbook. Find links to Summer Math Skills Sharpener workbooks for grades Preschool through 8th here.
Summer Math Skills Sharpeners provide a review of the grade level just completed, exposing students to important concepts over and over in small doses throughout the summer for ultimate reinforcement. Students are encouraged to practice 3 – 4 times per week over 10 weeks so that concepts are reinforced through the duration of the summer months ahead. Because most lessons only take about 20 minutes, students can easily fit them into their busy summer schedules without added screen time. Summer Math Skills include tutorial help pages for students and parents to review the mechanics of each type of problem encountered in the book. An answer key is also included for grades 1-3. Solution pages are included for 4th grades and up.
In addition to the Summer Math Skills series, iReady review packets are linked below for rising MS students, and iXL accounts will remain available and active through the summer for those grades currently utilizing them. Please watch for teacher recommended standards for each grade level marked with yellow stars.
