We are actively planning for the 2020-2021 school year and are eager to return to campus committed to following all recommended safety guidelines. Families with students entering grades K-8 may find links and information regarding 2020-2021 school supplies below. As in past years, Preschool and Jr Kindergarten students need not purchase supplies prior to the first day of school in the fall as teachers will share information regarding these items once students have returned to classrooms.
K-8 SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS
We are pleased to announce this fall we have renewed our partnership with Edukits as a provider of Kindergarten through 8th grade classroom school supplies. Edukits provides an easy, optional way to order supplies for students, with classroom-specific kits delivered straight to your students’ desks here on campus. Please note that orders placed through Edukit must be received no later than June 30, 2020 to ensure timely delivery and free shipping to school. Orders placed after this date will incur a late fee. Please note that 6th-8th grade calculators must be purchased separately, and are offered as stand alone items by grade within the Edukit platform, or may be purchased through another retailer.ORDER K-8 SUPPLIES THROUGH EDUKIT HERE
Alternately, families who prefer to purchase these classroom school supplies from retailers of their choosing and to bring those items to school with them in the fall may do so at any time during the summer months. All brands listed by grade may be substituted with other brand items with the exception of the Case-It Sidekick in 5th-8th grades (see detail on this item that follows below). GRADES K-8 EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING SUPPLIES
We are thrilled to announce that the RUSH Executive Function curriculum piloted this past year was hugely successful in supporting student organization. Compelled by positive feedback and successful outcomes, we commit to continued implementation of materials rooted in an EF curriculum for the 2020-2021 school year. With a structured system in place and supportive repetition and practice, we look forward to continuing to strengthen our students’ frontal lobe/executive function process. Students in grades K-8 will purchase the contents of their respective Executive Functioning systems separately from their K-8 grade-specific Edukit order. No action is needed by families at this time. Watch for a future Newsblast about how to order the contents (planner, folders and notebooks) of the Executive Functioning system for your rising K-8th grade students later this summer. Please note all K-8 students will be included in this program, not grades 3-8 as previously shared.ORDER K-8 EF SYSTEM (COMING SOON)
GRADES 5-8 CASE-IT SIDEKICK
Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, all 5th through 8th grade students will be required to purchase a Case-it Sidekick to house their Executive Functioning materials; this new case replaces the white plastic binder used this past school year. The Case-it Sidekick is included in all 5th-8th grade Edukit school supply orders. Please note that if you choose to purchase school supplies on your own through another retailer, you will also need to purchase the Case-it Sidekick (no substitutions, please). Families who don’t purchase school supplies through Edukits have two options for acquiring the Case-it Sidekick: (1) Purchase the Sidekick here on amazon.com or (2) order the Sidekick here through Edukit for $24 as a stand-alone item (navigate to the order section for your child’s grade, and scroll down to the Sidekick item to purchase).VIEW THE SIDEKICK ON AMAZON VISIT EDUKIT.COM TO ORDER THE SIDEKICK NAVIGATING THROUGH YOUR CHILD'S GRADE
Students who bring items from home (whether the Case-it Sidekick and/or K-8 supplies) should have these supplies purchased and ready for our return to campus on August 26th.
