We wish our SFX students long days of exploration, fun, sunshine and adventure during these summer months ahead. Please refer to the links below for a selection of optional, enriching summer reading resources for all Crusaders, as well as required reading assignments for incoming 5th-8th graders. In particular, we invite you to review the link below regarding our Tower of Books Summer Reading Challenge. Students who complete this optional reading challenge will be treated to prizes including a Chipotle “Build Your Own Kids Meal” Voucher.
During the 2018-2019 school year, 3rd-5th grade students will be invited to read the 2019 Bluestem nominated titles (students looking for some fun summer reads are invited to dig into these books this summer). 3rd-5th graders who read every title on this 2019 Bluestem Challenge List will be invited to a pizza party in the library with Mrs. Sawyer at the end of the coming school year.
Incoming K-8 students who complete a summer reading club through their public library are invited to bring in their certificates of completion at the start of school year to share with Mrs. Sawyer.
